This program features weekly practices and games. Participants learn the basics of softball in a fun environment that allows them to develop skills on practice days and implement them on game days. The season starts off with a clinic for players. During practices, the staff of Hot Shots Sports will be available to assist volunteer coaches and their teams during their designated practice time. Coaches pitch on game days with more emphasis placed on how to field, hit, run the bases, and the basic rules of the game. Teams will be formed based on school.
Girls play one or two games per week and practice one day per week. Once rosters are put together, they are final. The program depends on parents and friends to volunteer for coaching duties. Those interested may call 847/256-9690. All players receive a team jersey.
